  This restaurant in the tiny downtown area of Cornville, AZ is really, really good! It's widely known locally for how good it is, but it's also known as "the German restaurant". I avoided it for years because I'm not a fan of German food. Just assumed I wouldn't find anything I liked on the menu. Boy was I wrong!
  
  Have eaten there twice recently and it's just plain scrumptious! The majority of items on the menu and the specials are not related to German cuisine in any obvious way. The atmosphere is really pleasant and quiet - at least at lunchtime when I was there. I've often heard that there's a huge crowd at dinner. Reservations are recommended.

  We had dinner here for my birthday. A charming atmosphere. Such a great place; fine dining that is so uncommon anymore. We had fried green tomatoes to start. I haven't had tomatoes like that since my grandmother made them. Their pumpkin soup is Devine! They call it liquid heaven and it is. Randy the chef and owner comes out and greets his guests at each table. I had the schnitzel which was so good. My husband had the bison steak which was cooked to perfection. We will definitely return.
